Russian team Team Spirit, defending champions of The International 2022 on Dota 2, went through the first day of the tournament’s group stage undefeated.
In the first match of Group B, Team Spirit tied with Team Fnatic, which is represented by Filipino and Thai players – 1:1. In the second meeting, the Russian team proved to be stronger than the European entity — 2:0.
Team Spirit has scored 3 points and is on the third row of Group B.
Team Spirit is played by Russians Alexander “TORONTOTOKYO” Khertek, Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov, Yaroslav “Mira” Naidenov and Ukrainians Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk and Miroslav “Miposhka” Kolpakov.
Another Russian team, BB Team, failed to win on the first match day. First, the team lost to European Gladiators – 0:2. Then the Russians lost to the Chinese team Royal Never Give (0:2) and ended the first matchday with a defeat of Team Liquid — 0:2.
BB Team is the only one not to have scored any points at the end of the day. The team with 0 points closes the Group A standings.
