‘Rubin’ footballer Bakaev called FIFA the ‘dead discipline’ of esports

Midfielder Kazan “Rubin” Soltmurad Bakayev believes that the esports discipline of FIFA has questionable tournament prospects, as the developers do not fix bugs.

FIFA is a dead discipline. I see no reason to organize championships on it. Few tournaments are held there, there are a lot of bugs in the game and they are not going to fix it. Every year, old problems remain, new ones appear. Also, I like CS:GO a lot more myself.

Which FIFA series did you last play? FIFA 22. New could not be tested. Electronic Arts has left the Russian market, so there is no way to buy it. Maybe it’s more of a plus than a minus. You don’t have to spend money to buy players, open packs.

The record amount spent to buy loot boxes? It is difficult to say about 5-10 thousand rubles. Honestly, I wonder how much some people spend on FIFA. And what’s the point? A year later, a new series will be released and all funds spent will remain in the previous one. At one point I thought about it. Apparently over the years I grow up, I get smarter,” Bakaev told RT.

This season, Bakaev has played 12 games in all competitions, scoring one goal.
