Team Secret with the Ukrainian “Resolut1on” took second place
European team Tundra Esports became the winner of the main tournament of the year in Dota 2 — The International 2022.
In the grand final, Tundra Esports confidently won Team Secret (3:0) and won The International for the first time in its history. The European team has not lost a single series in the tournament.
Tundra Esports includes Oliver “skiter” Lepko (Slovakia), Leon “Nine” Kirilin (Germany), Neta “33” Shapira (Israel), Martin “Saksa” Sazdov (North Macedonia) and Wu “Sneyking” Jingjun (USA) . Team coach – Curtis “Aui_2000” Lin. He won TI in 2015 as an Evil Geniuses player.
For winning TI, Tundra Esports received almost $8.5 million. Team Secret, played by Ukrainian Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok, earned almost $2.5 million. Third place went to Team Liquid (1.7 million).
The International 2022 was held in Singapore from 15 to 30 October. The playoff matches of the tournament were held at two arenas: Indoor Stadium and Suntec Arena.
