It was previously reported that a post on the official accounts of sports video game developer EA Sports and sports equipment manufacturer Adidas appeared last week. Under the post, users left dozens of outraged comments about the lack of a Russian tournament ball in the selection.
The Russian national team’s press service responded to the Twitter post by posting a similar photo, which features the 2018 World Cup ball.
“Fixed,” the Russian team said in a post.
The world championship in Russia took place from June 14 to July 15, 2018.
