The Ukrainian team failed to win the second CS:GO Major in a row
Ukrainian team Natus Vincere lost FaZe Clan in the grand final of the tournament PGL Major Antwerp 2022 on CS:GO.
On the first map – Inferno – FaZe Clan beat the opponent with a score of 19:16. On the Nuke map, NAVI lost 10:16.
FaZe Clan won the CS:GO Major for the first time in history. The captain of the team, 32-year-old Finn “karrigan” Andersen, became the oldest winner of the major. The Dane broke the record of Daniil “Zeus” Teslenko, who won PGL Major Krakow 2017 at the age of 29.
Natus Vincere failed to win the CS:GO Major for the second time in a row. Last fall, the Ukrainian team won the PGL Major Stockholm 2021.
For the victory at PGL Major Antwerp 2022, FaZe Clan received 500 thousand dollars. NAVI earned 150 thousand. 3rd-4th place was taken by Team Spirit and ENCE.
The PGL Major Antwerp 2022 playoffs took place on May 19-22 at the Sportpaleis Arena in Antwerp. The prize pool of the tournament was $1 million.
