Speedrun will open the third Figital Games in Kazan

Figital Games 3 in eSports disciplines begin in Kazan. From February 5 to February 11, there will be speedrun competitions, Dota 2, MLBB, CS:GO and Warface tournaments combined with laser tag. On February 11, laser tag show matches will be held in the “royal battle” format with the participation of professional players and popular bloggers.

In total, more than 130 participants from 10 countries will perform at the Fidget Games: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Philippines, Vietnam and Cambodia.

Today the Games will open with the Speedrun Championship, a very dynamic and exciting discipline in which participants complete games at high speed. The tournament will take place from February 5 to 7 in the computer park. 4 esports teams will participate: King of Milfs, speedXATA, Cheaters and Tesla Squad.

The tournament will be commentated by popular streamers Sergey Nuke73 Potapov, Artem Blame Lysenko, Dmitry insanebb Gulyaev and Pavel Dailyhardcore Subbotin, and Maxim SNAILKICK Kiselev will host the competition.

Speedrunning is an incredibly difficult discipline. Imagine working in a factory and monotonously performing the same actions day after day, but suddenly having to learn how to do them in such a way that you can complete a three-day plan per shift! This thing takes a lot of mental toughness, attention, but gives an unrealistic boost when something works. It’s not just morning coffee. It’s like skydiving! Great adrenaline rush.

In Kazan we will see something no one else has seen abroad. Here are games from retro consoles, and these are very heavy speedruns, where all the plots and actions of the characters have long been calculated. The guys will have to invent something new, and these tactics will be very interesting. In my opinion, Speedrun differs from a MOBA game in that it requires even more perseverance. When you play online games, your friends stimulate you. And in a speedrun, you’re with yourself and a table of records. You’re on your own, you have to put up with it,” Subbotin told Dailyhardcore.

“Games of the Future” is an international tournament of a new format. The games include competitions in 16 hybrid disciplines. Each of the disciplines combines the concept of “phygital” (physical + digital), combining classic sports and e-sports or VR-/AR technology and testing both the athletes’ physical fitness and their digital dexterity. The tournament will be held in Kazan in 2024.

The Fidget Games are a series of competitions in the fidget disciplines that preceded the “Games of the Future”. The first Fidgetal Games took place in Kazan from September 21 to 23, 2022 and included four disciplines – digital football (FIFA + futsal), digital basketball (NBA + streetball), Beat Saber and drone racing. In November and December, the Fidgital Games took place in racing (Assetto Corsa + karting), martial arts (Mortal Kombat 11 + MMA) and hockey (NHL 22 + 3*3 hockey).
