“Already 29 countries have confirmed their participation in the Games of the Future. I’m sure there will be many more” – Chernyshenko

Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, spoke about the importance of organizing the international Future Games tournament in figure sports, which will be held in Kazan from February 23 to March 2, 2024.

— Those who are familiar with the format of the Future Games understand that it is a response to the global structural changes taking place in the world and from which we cannot escape. Otherwise there is content consumption, it is a fundamentally new way of life that cannot be ignored, otherwise we will be left behind. Russia is the initiator and creator of a fundamentally new response to the demand to combine technologies and competitions and brings to the scene an international tournament that has no analogues in the world.

Can’t say I really like the name phygital, but it captures the meaning of what’s going on. We must ensure integrity and respect for the values ​​rooted in society, so that the younger generation does not get carried away by virtual reality, but at the same time uses all the possibilities of technology.

Within a critical time frame, we are preparing an event comparable to the biggest international events. Already 29 countries have confirmed their participation, I’m sure there will be many more, because we see great interest in it.

“Games of the Future” does not require investment to create a physical infrastructure, they use the one already created.

I want to emphasize that phygitalisation is not a substitution or opposition of real sport and virtual computer competition. A person has additional opportunities to prepare for all life situations.

Forum “We are together. Sport” takes place at Gostiny Dvor in Moscow. The event is attended by heads of regional executive authorities, sports federations and organisations, industry, media and business leaders. The commercial part of the forum includes more than 20 commercial and protocol events with the participation of leading experts from the industry. The central event will be the final meeting of the Board of Directors of the Ministry of Sports of Russia in 2022. It will define the vectors of movement of the sports community, determine the strategic directions for the development of the sports industry for 2023.
