Although this has not yet been confirmed by EA, the South American TOTS is no longer on the agenda and will come as a special event with the best players from the Copa Libertadores group stage.

FIFA 22 is in full swing of the year, with almost all releases of Season Teams specified, except TOTS Ultimatewhich will be the most powerful, and another has been announced and seems to be just Group Stage Team: the Conmebol TOTGS.

Although this has not yet been confirmed by EA Sports, in recent times the announcement of Conmebol TOTSthat a priori would be June 12, no longer listed on the official site. And according to the very credible release, this is because Conmebol will not have Team of the Season, but instead a Copa Libertadores Group Stage Team (TOTGS)as happened in the Champions League, Europa League and as happened with the Libertadores themselves in FIFA 21.

The fact is there will be an event that, it seems, will have less importance than the TOTS of the leagues but that includes best players of the Copa Libertadores group stage. It will be necessary to see if Conmebol’s TOTGS honors the original date and actually arrives on June 12th.
