Coach Monte lmbt: I want to pay tribute to our Armed Forces. We do it for them and for all Ukrainians who are rooting for us.

Ukrainian team qualified for CS:GO Major

Trainer Monte Sergey «lmbt» Bezhanov commented on the entry of the Ukrainian team to the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 tournament in CS:GO. He dedicated this success to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“I just want to pay tribute to our Armed Forces because we played without electricity for three months. We had rockets flying overhead and these guys, my teammates, were able to get through it no matter what. We crashed and disconnected during the matches, but still won. Nothing could affect us, because we knew who was on the front line there. We are doing this for them, I know what they are watching, and we are doing this for all the Ukrainians who are rooting for us. Glory to Ukraine,” said lmbt.

Bezhanov also explained why Monte players refused to shake hands with representatives of the Russian forZe team.

“It’s very simple. They have a sponsor – Lukoil, one of the largest oil companies in Russia. They pay taxes and pay for Russian tanks that shoot us on Ukrainian soil. They fuel Russian planes that drop missiles on our cities. While we were playing this match, the entire Ukrainian territory was on air alert. The entire map of Ukraine was red. How can you shake hands with people who support the war? It’s very easy for us. This is how it is at the front, in the rear, on the Internet. I hope someday this will end. And I will mention someone like hooch, who can be respected for his position, but everyone else … It’s very simple.

Monte will play in a CS:GO Major for the first time in its history. Previously, Natus Vincere qualified for BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.

A total of 24 teams will compete at the Major in Paris. The prize fund of BLAST.tv Paris Major is $1,250,000. The tournament in the capital of France will be held from May 8 to May 21.
