This will mark the start of a new chapter in Blizzard Entertainment’s super popular and award-winning shooter.
Overwatch 2 will include a new 5v5 multiplayer format and duties of cross play Y development between platforms. The Overwatch 2 PvP experience promises amazing competitive gameplay with a new free-to-play model, along with new updates bringing new heroes, hero mods, maps, modes, and premium cosmetics.
Junker Queen, the new heroine of Overwatch 2
And in addition to announcing the release date and the ability to play for free, Blizzard announced the latest hero to join the Overwatch 2 roster: Junker Queen. Originally from Australia, he is the ruthless leader of Junkertown and will be available to players all over the world from the day the game launches.
The Junker Queen is the second hero revealed for Overwatch 2 and the 34th hero to join the roster following the addition of Sojourn, the very mobile former Overwatch captain armed with railgun and cybernetic abilities. Next to Junker Queen and many new additions will come iconic new locations, from Toronto’s snowy New Queen Street to the bustling Midtown of Manhattan.
