The State Duma Sports Committee submitted a project on the development of innovative sports and holding the tournament of the Games of the Future, the document is published in the State Duma database.
— The federal bill “On the preparation and holding of the international multi-sport tournament “Games of the Future”, the development of innovative sports and the amendment of some legislative acts of the Russian Federation” is aimed at developing innovative sports in the Russian Federation of Russia, as well as strengthening the basis of legal regulation of the formation and holding of the International Multi-Sport Tournament of the Future Games, a large-scale sporting event that unites sport, science and technology through the synergy of spectacular classic and digital sports, says the explanatory note.
It is also proposed to create an International Movement for the Development of Innovative Sports and the Video Game Industry, which will popularize and promote the Future Games tournament on the international stage.
In addition, the draft law sets out a set of measures for the smooth running of the “Games of the Future”: the rights and obligations of the tournament organizer are fixed, advertising, symbols and measures to combat speculators are approved.
“Games of the Future” is an international tournament in 16 unique disciplines in the “phygital” format (classic sports + eSports). It will be held in Kazan from February 23 to March 2, 2024.
