Russians participating in the three-dimensional tactical combat discipline will be able to receive sports categories and titles in computer sports, reports the press service of the Russian Computer Sports Federation.
As noted, changes have recently been made to the provisions of the Unified All-Russian Sports Classification. Athletes will be able to receive rankings based on the results of their performances in World of Tanks tournaments, which will be organized by the Russian Computer Sports Federation on the VK Play platform.
– The joint work of the three organizations will aim to popularize e-sport in general and the active development of World of Tanks tournaments in particular. We need to bring more attention to domestic games, show developers that in Russia it is possible – and necessary – to create projects that can become popular in the field of esports,” said Dmitry Smith, President of the FCS of Russia.
The discipline “Tatic 3D combat” was officially recognized in Russia last year. It includes the games Counter‑Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO), Valorant, Rainbow Six: Siege, Warface, Armored Warfare, Overwatch, World of Tanks and War Thunder.
