Former owner of a Russian esports team Virtus.pro and founder of the ESforce holding company Anton Cherepennikov has died at the age of 41, according to the press service of the IT company ICS Hoding.
“It is with great sadness that we announce that on July 22, Saturday, at the age of 40, the head of ICS Holding, renowned Russian tech entrepreneur Anton Andreyevich Cherepennikov, passed away. We all mourn these moments,” the statement read.
From 2020 to 2022, ICS Holding, founded by Cherepennikov, was the general football sponsor CSKA .
Virtus.pro is one of the most successful and oldest esports clubs in the world, founded on November 1, 2003. The club currently has Dota 2, CS:GO, Rainbow 6 Siege, PUBG MOBILE and Warface rosters.
