League of Legends | All about MSI 2022: announcements, format and date

The prestigious competitive LoL tournament will begin in early May in Korea and there are already 5 of the 11 teams secured their tickets. We also tell you how to play it.

A month separates us from one of the most popular tournaments in the Esports scene. Ang Mid-Season Invitational This is the second most important competition in the League of legendsjust behind in the worldand will open its doors on May 10 at Busan, South Korea. Qualifying is not an easy task: you will only get a place if you dedicate yourself to your region. Until now, five teams have safe seats and only six seats left.

What will be the format of League of Legends MSI 2022

The international tournament will be re -held with the public and will be played in the same way as its previous edition: in three different stages. Initially, the 11 participants will be divided into three groups (two of four and one of three) and will play two matches against each rival in the best game. The two best in each zone access the next stage.

The second stage will consist of a group with six classifieds. It will also be double round robin (all against all) for the good of one. The best four will advance to the semifinals, where matches will be played with the best of 5.

  • PCS – Hong Kong- Macao – Taiwan – Southeast Asia: was specified on April 17.
  • CBLOL – Brazil: was specified on April 23.
  • LCS – North America: was specified on April 24.
  • VCS-Vietnam: was specified on April 24.
