The head of the IOC spoke about the prospects of the eSports Olympic Games

Head of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach said the esports community has received the news of the possible creation of the esports Olympics positively, noting that the IOC will rely on Olympic values ​​when considering this issue.

In October, at the opening ceremony of the IOC session in Mumbai, India, Bach said a special commission would study the issue of creating e-sports Olympics.

“Beyond the Olympic Games, we are determined to fulfill our mission of making the world a better place through sport. » In line with the 2020+5 programme, we strengthen the role of sport in society, promote the Olympic values ​​and improve lives through sport.
