Former Ukrainian national team player invested in an esports organization
Former midfielder of Dnepr, Shakhtar and the Ukrainian national team Evgeniy Konoplyanka signed the roster TBA.ECF By CS2. The Ukrainian team will perform under the name kONO.ECF.
The members of kONO.ECF include: Yaroslav “byr9” Buryak, Kirill “s4ltovsk1yy” Litvinov, Artem “kensizor” Kapran, Zakhar “polbandana” Siledchik, Denis “amster” Lyashenko. The team is ranked 86th in the HLTV world rankings.
On Tuesday, kONO.ECF will hold playoff matches of the Elisa Invitational Spring 2024 and European Pro League 2nd Division Season 12 tournaments.
Konoplyanka has been without a club since January 2024. The Ukrainian left Romanian Cluj, for which he played in four matches this season, spending a total of less than an hour on the field. It was reported that Evgeniy, together with former teammate Roman Zozulya, plans to open an agency company.
In 2023, Arsenal and Ukraine national team defender Alexander Zinchenko created his own team in CS2, Passion UA. The footballer launched the project together with the famous Ukrainian player and coach Mikhail “Kane” Blagin.
