International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) announced a new partnership in the world of esports. The first ever FIFA World Cup in gaming will be held in partnership with Sports Interactive Football Manager.
The tournament will take place from August 29 to September 1, 2024. Selected FIFA member associations will be invited to the inaugural edition of the World Cup. According to the report, “invitations will be based on eligibility and the number of players from each country, ensuring fair and representative competition across the globe.”
The legendary coach Arsene Wenger, head of FIFA’s global football development department, was chosen as the ambassador of this event.
