“Sanctions against Russian cyber athletes are no longer in force. I would like to believe that this is really the case” – Svishchev

Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Dmitry Svishchev highlighted the work of the Russian Computer Sports Federation (FKS) in supporting Russian athletes.

The International Computer Sports Federation (IESF) did not support the proposal to exclude the Russian Computer Sports Federation from the organization and permanently ban Russian athletes from international competitions.

— I would like to emphasize that our leadership within the eSport Federation is formidable! They have done a great job protecting the rights of Russian esports athletes. The agenda of the last IESF Congress did not include the issue of suspending membership in the Russian FCC and banning Russian athletes from competing with national symbols. This means that sanctions against Russian cyber athletes are no longer in force. I really want to believe that this is really the case and that the IESF leadership will not change its position.

We hope that our e-sportsmen will achieve victories in the upcoming competitions with the Russian flag and our symbols,” Svishchev wrote on the Telegram channel.
