The total prize money for the Russian Football Union (RFU) Interactive Football Cup in 2022 will reach 1.2 million rubles, reports the Russian Computer Sports Federation (FCSR) press service.
The tournament is organized by the RFU and the FCSR with the support of MegaFon. The RFU Cup is played using the FIFA 22 simulator on the PlayStation 4 platform in even roster mode. Players over the age of 14 are allowed to participate in the tournament. Instead of building a squad in FIFA Ultimate Team mode, players now have the option of using rosters that average up to the 90th rating.
Qualifying tournaments were held in the regions until August 14. During the last month of the summer, several other qualifying starts will take place.
The RFU Cup main stage will be held online on September 3-4. The country’s top eight players will battle it out for the title in Moscow on September 18.
