Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin visited the locker room of football club Dynamo Moscow after the team beat fellow Dynamo side Makhachkala 3-1 in the third round of the Russian Premier League.
Dynamo Moscow general director Pavel Pivovarov told RIA Novosti that Ovechkin had been in the locker room. Pivovarov said everyone knows Ovechkin, calling him a legend and a star of Russian sport. He described Ovechkin as a special guest for the club and said Dynamo would keep inviting him wherever suited him, adding that the club valued its good relationship with such an important figure.

Dynamo Moscow defeated their opponents from the Dagestan capital 3-1. Timofei Marinkin, Dmitri Skopintsev and Anton Miranchuk scored the goals.
Ovechkin's ties to Dynamo
The 41-year-old Ovechkin came up through the youth ranks of Dynamo's hockey club. He has previously said he plans to live in Moscow once his playing career ends.
