Overwatch League teams have announced player and coaching changes following the conclusion of the first season, with initial roster moves starting after the August 1 signing window opened.
Single season contracts for players end on September 8, leaving unsigned players as free agents. The free agency window opens for new league teams on September 9 before opening to all teams on October 8. London Spitfire finished the inaugural season happy with their position, while other teams prepare for roster adjustments.

Boston Uprising released DPS player Stanislav 'Mistakes' Danilov, tank Woo-yeol 'Kalios' Shin, and support players Connor 'Avast' Prince and Mikias 'Snow' Yohannes.
Dallas Fuel saw flex player Brandon 'Seagull' Larned retire from active competition.
Houston Outlaws released tank player Russell 'FCTFCTN' Campbell.
Los Angeles Gladiators released tank players Chan-hyung 'Fissure' Baek and Luis 'iRemiix' Galarza Figueroa, alongside DPS players Joon-seong 'Asher' Choi and Ted 'Silkthread' Wang.
New York Excelsior released tank player Joon-hwa 'Janus' Song.
Philadelphia Fusion released DPS player George 'Shadowburn' Gushcha and support players Joe 'Joemeister' Gramano and Jeong-hwan 'DayFly' Park.
San Francisco Shock released DPS player Andre 'iddqd' Dahlstrom, support Daniel 'dhaK' Martinez, and tank David 'Nomy' Ramirez.
Seoul Dynasty had support player Jin-woo 'Gambler' Heo retire. The team released tank Jin-hyuk 'Miro' Gong, flex player Gi-do 'Gido' Mun, and DPS Seok-woo 'Wekeed' Choi, while signing tank Chan-hyung 'Fissure' Baek.
