Real Madrid have reached a final agreement with RB Leipzig to sign Ivorian winger Yan Diomande, completing one of the biggest transfers in the club's history.
According to Marca, Diomande left Leipzig's preseason training to travel to Madrid for the medical tests needed to complete the move.
The deal is worth 125 million euros, with bonuses that could add another 10 to 15 million. If every target is met, the transfer would surpass the fee Real Madrid paid for Cristiano Ronaldo, making it the most expensive signing in the club's history.
Summer Spending and Vinicius Talks
Real Madrid have also signed Kouhcurenya, Espi and Dumfries this summer, and added Konate and Bernardo Silva as free agents. Sales have brought in 184.5 million euros, largely balancing the club's finances.
Diomande's arrival is not expected to affect talks with Vinicius Junior. Recent contacts between the two sides have been described as very positive, and Vinicius appears close to extending his contract beyond the summer of 2027, with only his final answer to Real Madrid's proposal still pending.
