The Ukrainian lost to “neutral” Elena Pridankina
Ukrainian tennis player Yulia Starodubtseva played the semi-final qualifying match of the tournament WTA 250 in Guangzhou (China)having been defeated by a “neutral” Elena Pridankina.
The match lasted 1 hour and 28 minutes. During the first set, Starodubtseva allowed her opponent to break three times, resulting in a defeat with a score of 3:6.
The second set performed by Yulia turned out to be even more depressing. She was inferior to Pridankina 0:5, but in the end she still escaped the “steering wheel” (1:6 in the end).
At the third consecutive tournament in China, Starodubtseva cannot overcome the qualifications and reach the main draw. In Wuhan there was elimination in the qualifying finals, and in Ningbo in the semi-finals.
At the same time, thanks to a sensational performance in the quarter finals of the WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing in early October, Starodubtseva made her debut in the top 100 rankings, now occupying 91st position.
